Return Policy

At Sophora Déco, many of our products are made to order. Because of this, our policy differs depending on whether an item is custom made or ready to ship. Please review the details below before placing your order.

1. Before You Order

To help reduce the risk of measurement or color issues, we strongly recommend the following before placing a large order:

• Order Fabric Swatches: We highly encourage you to order fabric samples directly from our website. This allows you to view the texture, drape, and color in your own home and under your own lighting conditions.

2. Product Classifications

For clarity, our return policies are based on how each item is made and whether it is stocked or custom produced:

• Custom Products (Made-to-Order): Any item labeled as "Custom" or made according to your specific measurements and requirements (for example, curtains made to your dimensions, specialized linings, or hardware cut to a specific length). Because these items are produced specifically for your order, they are considered Final Sale and cannot be restocked.
• Ready-to-Ship Products: Standard items shipped as stocked, without any modifications or alterations (for example, standard bedding sets, decorative cushions, or hardware sold in standard factory lengths).
• Clearance Items: Items marked as "Final Sale," "Liquidation," or "Clearance" are not eligible for return or exchange unless there is a confirmed manufacturing defect.

3. Custom Products

Because custom items are made to your exact specifications, they are not eligible for return or refund due to a change of mind. However, Sophora Déco offers the following options to support you throughout the process:

A. Modifications & Cancellations (12-Hour Rule)

• Within 12 Hours: You have a 12-hour window after order confirmation to modify or cancel your order at no charge.
• After 12 Hours (Pre-Production): If production has not yet begun, we will accommodate changes or cancellations at no cost.
• In Production: Once the fabric has been cut and production is underway, your order is officially in progress. Any cancellation or modification at this stage will incur a 30% cancellation fee to cover the cost of materials and labor already committed to your order.

B. Replacement Option (Measurement or Style Errors)

• We understand that mistakes can happen. If you discover a measurement error, find that the color is not the right fit for your space, or accidentally damage the product during installation:
• Within 30 days of delivery, you may place a replacement order at a 50% discount.
• Please note: The replacement order must be of equal or lesser value than the original order.

4. Ready-to-Ship Products: 14-Day Return Policy

For all non-customized items, we offer a 14-day return window from the date of delivery.

• Return Conditions: Items must be returned in brand-new, unwashed, and unused condition, with the original packaging intact. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the return is due to our error.
• Restocking Fee: If standard items (hardware, bedding, etc.) are returned without the original packaging or show minor signs of handling or installation but remain resalable, a 15% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.

5. 2-Year Limited Warranty

Every Sophora Déco product goes through careful quality control. We provide a 2-year limited warranty from the date of delivery against manufacturing defects.

What Is Covered:

• Craftsmanship defects or dimensions outside of standard production tolerance.
• Structural fabric defects (such as weaving flaws or tears not caused by use).
• Malfunctioning hardware or operating mechanisms (including shades, tracks, or rails).

What Is Not Covered (Exclusions):

• Craftsmanship Tolerance: A slight variance of approximately ±1 inch (2.5 cm), which is inherent to handmade textile products.
• Natural Variations: Minor differences in texture or dye lots between fabric rolls, especially in natural fibers such as linen, silk, cotton, bamboo, or wood.
• Environmental Wear: Normal fading caused by prolonged sun exposure, salt air, or the natural aging of mechanisms over time.
• Improper Care: Damage caused by cleaning methods not in accordance with care instructions (for example, shrinkage caused by washing instead of dry cleaning), customer alterations, high humidity exposure (mold or mildew), or damage caused by pets or insects.

6. Return Procedure

To ensure fast and secure processing, all returns must follow the procedure below. Returns sent without prior authorization may not be accepted.

• Initial Request: Contact our support team at contact@sophoradeco.com within the applicable timeframe (14 days for standard items; 30 days for custom product replacement requests). Please include your order number and clear photos of the product.
• Authorization: If your request is approved, our team will provide a return authorization and the appropriate warehouse address for your return.
• Shipping: You have 14 days after receiving our authorization to ship the package. We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service, as returns are sent at the customer's risk and expense.
• Refund: Once the item is received, inspected, and approved at our facility, refunds will be processed within 2 to 5 business days.
